Fall Harvest Fest 2009

The CBF Fall Fest will be on Sunday, October 4th, 2009 from 1 to 5 pm. New items this year include:

  • An antique quilt display and quilting demonstration
  • A bird of prey raptor show
  • Farrier (blacksmith) presentation
  • Learning to make noodles like Grandma used to

Many other favorite activities are returning this year such as the horse/pony rides, traditional hayride, "Johnny Appleseed" with apple pressing, potter, making dipped candles, butter churning, face painting, apple bobbing, grape pressing, crafts for children to make and take, and pumpkin decorating.

Games will include a scavenger hunt, three-legged race, sack race, "dress the scarecrow," tug-of-war, and cookie walk. Farm food, also known as "grub," will be available.

There will be tours of the Case-Barlow homestead home with demonstrations of stenciling, lace making, rug hooking, and chair making.

The admission is $6.00 per adult and $4.00 per child. Toddlers under two years of age are free.
